Bent Double with Lucy Porter...
review
Once again, compere Zoe Lyons proved that the average Sunday night can be oh, so much more than average by spending it with her at Komedia! It almost doesn't matter what the line-up's like - Zoe is there to pull the whole evening together and make sure the night is a good one.
First to the microphone was Sarah Millican who came across as charming and very funny - the kind of person you could imagine sitting down for a cup of tea and a natter with!
The all-singing, all-dancing Hils Barker with her acoustic guitar in tow brought us jokes and songs about music, past times and chavs... all very good.
And finally - the headline act... Lucy Porter. Even if you've never caught her live before, you're almost bound to recongise her from appearances on things like Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News for You, The Mrs Merton Show - and from her various radio performances on Radio Four. The bouncy lass tickled us all with her tales... and she even came armed with prezzies - bless her!
