The Blackpool Tower Experience...
review
How can you claim to have Done Blackpool unless you've been taken up the Blackpool Tower? The answer is, you can't. So we decided to take Wilma up the Blackpool Tower, and despite the seemingly extortionate entry price (somewhere in the region of £12.50 per person) it was surprisingly good fun.
Perhaps one reason that we felt the Tower was overpriced was that the entry price included a circus performance, which unfortunately we didn't have time to see. But even skipping that, our ticket also included entry to the aquarium (lots of interesting fishes to oogle at) and to the fabulous ballroom... which really is stunning. We were even treated to a ballroom dancing session (we didn't join in) and got to see the Mighty Wurlitzer rise out of the stage mid-tune... a site not to be missed!
Oh - and then there's the tower itself of course... great views and the requisite Walk Of Death (ie glass floor) to turn your stomach... that is, if you've still got a stomach left after The Big One at the Pleasure Beach.

Blackpool Tower is a complete leisure complex in its own right. There's a circus, children fun zone, the wonderful Tower Ballroom (perfect for an afternoon dance or tea or, of course, the Tower Top itself, complete with Walk of Faith. Tower is sometimes closed, so check before you enter the complex to avoid disappointment. Click for more info and complete listings for Blackpool Tower
