Not that you need an excuse - but there’s a charitable reason to dress ahead this October as Crusaid host their annual Wig Party at London’s Café de Paris. And why wouldn’t you when previous celebrity guests and supporters have included Danni Minogue, Beverley Knight, Patrick Cox, Jeremy Sheffield and Ben Cooke? And the glamour looks set to continue this year as the ‘Big Wigs’ hit the catwalk courtesy of signature wig designs from Vivienne Westwood, DSquared2, Sam McKnight, Naomi Campbell and Jean Claude Jitrois.

Conceived in the early 90’s by party animals desperate to get a wig on, the Wig Party is one of the infamous nights of the year. And as for the official afterparty - just don’t ask! All the organisers ask is that bring your fierceness with you and join the pageant - be wigged of course. With all monies raised going to Crusaid, the HIV/AIDS charity, supporting poor and marginalized people affected by HIV and Aids in the UK and Africa, we really can’t think of a finer way to play with fashion. Question is, which wig to wear? See you on the catwalk.
